It will not have much impact if any president comes in the case of immigration. Anyhow most of them are not going to Veto. It is the congress who plays important role. President can just initiate the process. Bush tried his best to pass some immigration reform but divided congress defeated all the bills. Who is the reason? Not just anti immigrants but also pro immigrant groups. Expectation from pro immigrants was too much and in some cases impractical. Anti immigrants used those and defeated every time. Also anti immigrants used division in various groups like legal vs illegal, high skilled vs low skilled and H1 vs green card. Some unbiased leader need to bring a bill which should work compromise at the same time that compromise should benefit all the groups. But unfortunately most congressmen are busy in other works. Next congress is critical for any immigration reform

Same here.
Mine & my wife's 485s were wrongfully denied last year.
We gave USCIS a chance to fix their mistake on the file. They fixed it.
If they shouldn't have fixed it , I would be a mini millionaire by now :)
But, my online status still shows as denied. Last month we got our
EADs and APs renewed without any issues. So, I don't care about the
online status.

Try Rajeev Khanna. He has helped me tremendously overcome false labor denial and has helped answer two of my friend's queries. He is a little expensive but well worth it.

Composition has been defined as "the strongest way of seeing" (IIRC, that's from Edward Weston, but I'm probably getting my photographers and quotations mixed up here). There are different ways to see the same thing. Flowers are a frequently-photographed object, and sometimes it can be hard to find a unique way to portray them. I'm not a terribly experienced photographer, and I don't really want to give any "rules" to follow to get a "good" picture, but here are a few guidelines you might consider as you get started:
Try to avoid a "busy" appearance, with too many subjects competing for attention (In my personal, humble, opinion, your picture has many clusters of flowers, and it's difficult to tell what exactly is the focus of the image).
Pay attention to what's in the background; go for contrast of brightness, color, or both. A low-angle shot, looking up at a medium blue flower against a blue sky, would probably not be the most visually stunning picture one could compose.
The "rule of thirds" is a good guideline for those of us (including myself) who haven't figured out when's a good time to break it and when's not. Imagine two horizontal lines and two vertical lines, dividing the picture into three equal segments horizontally and vertically. Near any one of the intersections of these lines is generally considered a visually strong point to place an important element of your composition.
For some subjects (flowers in particular), a shallow depth of field is recommended, as it helps lower the distractiveness of elements in the background. I think that in the shot you've posted here, opening up the aperture (setting a lower f-stop number) would have decreased the impact of the background flowers, and drawn more attention to the foreground one.
Oh, and feel free to experiment with all sorts of combinations. In my experience, the standard "looking down" angle of flower shot is less visually appealing, because that's the way we generally look at flowers when we are walking through the garden in our backyard (this is a simple property of physics, since most flowers tend to have considerably less height than the average human being ;)). Try out different angles and zoom settings to see what you find appealing (wide, or short focal length, to show more background behind the flower and give a longer depth of field - or far, a long focal length, to "compress" the background and provide a shorter depth of field to isolate the subject from its surroundings).
I'm sure other more experienced members will be able to do better (and probably already have, in the time I took to type up this verbose post), but perhaps this will give you something to think about while you wait for a better answer. :)
Edit: I realize that I made a few negative comments about your picture, without really saying anything positive. For one, I like the contrast of the flowers against the leaves behind them, and I think with a little Photoshop work this could be made even a little more striking. Let's not get lost in all the "rules" and "guidelines" and forget that this subject has lots of potential. I think with a slight change in angle, framing, and DOF, you'd be able to change a picture that may be mediocre to one that is very stunning.
Oh, and another suggestion that can be good for adding just a bit more interest to flowers is to photograph them when they have water droplets on them. Watering or misting the flowers just before you're ready to shoot can be a way to "supply" the drops if they are missing during the time of day when you feel that the lighting is at its best. :D

Report indicates that Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Rep. Nydia Velasquez (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) will meet with President Barack Obama this afternoon to talk about the chances of getting comprehensive immigration reform or the DREAM Act passed in the lame duck session, signaling the Democrats, Hispanics, and Obama turning their posture in CIR or DREAM from "defensive" to "offensive" strategy, by going forward with the all-court pressing DREAM or CIR during the Lame Duck session. For this apparent strategy, time is indeed short and running out. There was also report that the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) could bring the DREAM Act to the floor as early as this week. This strategy will push and corner Republicans to the "defensive" position in connection with the 2012 Presidential and another national election. For this matter, the Democrats have nothing to lose by pushing for DREAM or CIR during this Lame Duck session while they are in a majority position. Failure to pass the DREAM Act during the Lame Duck session will be placed on the Republicans, which are likely to bring about some Republican casualties and political liabilities in 2012 election. From the perspecitives of the DREAM activists, this is indeed considered a last chance and they are taking an aggressive position to take advantage of such political strategy of the Democrats. I had also gone to local centre with info pass to buy some more time to reply MTR coz i didnt have enough evidence to prove A2P .they told me file within 30 days with what ever i have as tell them that u got notice on 28th day n buy more time .But advice was to file within 30 days .

Wonder whether it is worth initiating a conversation about the validity of the legal argument for recapture (Mocanu + Aytes memo + Galvez-Howerton) with them -- they certainly know enough about the details of the name check process; they might need some more details about the 2003-2004 lost EB greencards, but I'd say they are pretty well prepped for all the other details.

We filed our AOS last week (EB3 PD Jan 2007). My wife is currently pregnant and so she could not take all the vaccinations that are required in the medicals. She did the other required medicals though.
My question: Will this cause our applications to be denied? OR will they allow my wife to get the shots after our baby is born?
Anyone with experience please help.

The Statuatory limitation on the law suits is 3 yrs...if you didn't file it within 3 yrs the court may use its own discretion.

I had similar RFE where USCIS wanted doctor's original signature.
Doctor's filled out a new form (latest version) with all the information from the old form.No test were done again.But they signed the new form with OLD date.
Did your doctor sign the form with new date?
Also,are you including the old original form that you received in sealed envelope with RFE?I am include the ONLY the new sealed envelope that has latest form as the doctor discarded the old form.
I did not receive old form. I just received the gold color form and the letter stating whats RFE about. I guess since only partial information is missing, they did not send me back the old form. I have not received the new forms from doctor yet. I will get it today. I guess he is going to sign with today's date only. Hope this answers your questions.
