I fail to understand one fundamental thing with Immigration , GOP and Dems .
The GOP was againt latino immigration and had workplace raids with ICE agents and Dogs and Armed soilders ( we all know what they did ) . They Lost the elections and everyone said it is the lationo vote that caused their downfall.
Now come the Dems who are just dodging the ball cleverly , with Economy , healthcare , Wars all over the globe and so on and also care little about immigration. At tlest the workplace raids have stopped .
I am not latino and from India , as an outsider and onlooker to the entire immigration drama , I would want to ask what real choices do the latio voters have ? They just came out from the Fire( GOP Days earlier ) to Boiling oil( Dems Days now) and now they are complaining that they want to vote the govt out and bring back the old govt that had them in fire . I mean what is these threats all about , when either party does not seem to be interested in doing anything except for paying lip service ? With the current attitude of both the parties they have to either select Fire or boiling oil .

My wife recently returned from India and at port of entry, the officer incorrectly wrote the paroled until date as Jul 12, 2010 instead of Jul 12, 2011. The date is incorrect on both I-94 and AP.
Will this create any issues and how can this be corrected? Her status is AOS pending, she doesn't have a EAD or H-visa
My wife's AP is valid till Oct 12, 2010. I would appreciate any help

Will they send an RFE immediately even after the I-485 has been pending for more that 180 days?
depends on the officer. A lot of officers do not know the AC21 law. As soon as they see 140 being revoked, they blindly send denial notices for 485 and you have to correct this through MTR.
After a 140 revocation by ex employer, it takes a few weeks for USCIS to act.

This question is implying that the stay for the children to go to school in canada would only be a month or so, not more than six months - so does anyone know if there's a risk in messing up the green cards while the family waits a month in canada while waiting for the next destination.

I entered US on H1 and the officer stamped the I-94 expiry date to the expiry date of the passport. I applied for a new passport but forgot about the I-94 expiry date. Does it mean that my H1B is expired and not valid? Can I re-enter US on the same H1B visa. Or, my H1B is no longer valid and I have to use AP?
Please let me know.
You are correct, you have been accumulation illegal stay since your i-94 expiration, when did it actually expire? if it is more than 180 days you better see a good immi attorney!

I donot think that these people are directly responsible for creating the issue in the first place....It is a reactive response to the anti-immigrant postures of many candidates...Also people like are us are not eligible to donate to immigrantList...Only citizens or premanant residents can contribute to immigrantList.....

In May 2007, it jumped to 01AUG03. I hope that there will be a movement in Jan 2009, Feb 2009 VB but looking at the trends it doesn't smee like there will be any.

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently updated their list of Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) approved schools (http://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/ApprovedSchools.pdf). The schools listed have all been certified to participate in the program.
The program allows foreign students interested in obtaining an education in the United States to complete a visa petition, pay the required fee, and attend a U.S. College or University.
Interested Foreign students: There is a process in obtaining a student visa, but it is not a difficult one. The student must first obtain Form I-20 from the U.S. College or University from which he/she intends to enroll, pay the required visa fee (Form I-901) and contact a local U.S. Consulate/Embassy to schedule an interview. The SEVP procedures differ among U.S. Consulates/Embassies; contact your U.S. Consulate/Embassy NOW to determine its particular procedure on applying for a visa before planning for the interview.
Interested Schools: There is a separate process to obtain F & M Certification. Authorized school officials must obtain and complete Form I-17. My consulting company with whom my H1B exists and to which my wife's H1B to H4 transfer is planned, have sent me the required documents "I539, Application to Extend/Change Non-immigrant Status" and asked me to send them to USCIS myself.

Recently I have filed my H1B petition . However due to some emergency I need to quit my current organisation (Company A) who has sponsored the H1B . My questions are :
1. Would there be any adverse effect if in future Company B files H1B for me ?
2. What generally happens if I file H1B and am not able to attend the interview ?
3. Is there any way Company A can revoke the H1B petition after I resign before H1B interview ?
Would appreciate a quick a reply .

it's more Marketing rubbish..
certainly it'll be a better 6MP image than before, but it won't have the pure resolution of a 1Ds or 14N.
Dynamic Range will be nice, but doesn't tip it over the edge. Why don't they go bigger in MP? One might ask.... I think they're finding it tough.. Somehow Canon has nailed it. Kodak couldn't.
Interesting times ahead!!
