Hi,
I am currently on h1b visa without a project from past 1 year in US and my employer asked me to convert to L2 visa dependent on my husband who is on L1 visa . I do not have any paystubs for my stamping. If I go to canada consulate for stamping, what is the success rate for my visa being approved?Will I be able to come back to US without any issues.Also, can you suggest me to which consulate should I go for my stamping?Please help!

If you didnot receive pay for 1 year means you were illegal in USA. This site is for highly skilled Legal immigrants. you can file a complaint against ur empoyer for not paying wage once you are on L2. If you win case against ur employer keep record with u and go for l2 stamping .. you should not have any issue.

Once you change to AOS and invoke AC21 after 6 months, you can choose to do nothing or even be without a job. The only thing thats important is that the job offer should be available at the time of 485 adjucation.

we applied for ap in octoer and the receipt date is oct 24.we have approved H1 .can we go to mexico and have stamping before the ap approves.please suggest me.
Yes you can apply for H-1 stamping anytime. It has nothing to do with AP.

applied June 27th( NSC ), still no FP..
Called them yesterday..the lady said that we need to wait for a 102 more days before they can consider this an issue :eek:
basically, there is no time period for FP , if we dont get EAD in the time frame then we call and ask. That's what the lady suggested.
we need to track if it happening to a lot of people.

Hi All,
I am new to this forum. My husband is working for a desi consulting company and they also filed for my h1. Now my hubby is planning to move out.
When my hubby moves out they might bargain using my h1 approval.
They havent given me a copy of the H1b approval. Could some one tell me the reasons to get the I-797 copy from the consultant?Once I get it I would like to transfer to some good company.
I heard that there is a I-824 form requesting copy when the actual approval notice is lost. Can I file for that and it seems it takes 6 months to get the actual copy.
Does the info pass help here ?

I am trying to get a green card for the US. My parents are from east asia and I was born in Canada. I went to University in Maryland from 1992-96 and obtained my dental license. I am licensed in the US and intend to purchase a dental office soon. I will still be keeping my dental office in Canada for at least 1 year once I am able to work in the US. I heard about a investment visa however I am not investing more than $400k but it will employ at least 4 US nationals(ctizens). Can I still use the investment visa or can I get a visa for opening a secondary dental office in the US and still keep my existing office in Canada until I qualify for a green card. so far i've been the ones to pay everything...i know govt got stricter this year and now it HAS to be employer who pays....so i'm in bad place as I know how my employer is...

Could you please pm us the IP address of your machine. It will help us to diagnose the problem and/or let you know the reason. Its possible that your work environment is using NATing. So all machines from within that network will propagate the same external IP address. If you could send us your IP address at work, we will be able to diagnose the problem.

Talk to a competent attorney. Medical reasons are seen as EXCEPTIONAL cases by USCIS. If the illness is serious enough she will be given preferential treatment and might get visa waiver for the duration of her treatment. A proper attorney can advise further.

Your MAVNI adjustment of status should cover your family, so they should be adjusting with you. You do not need to or have to send them to your home country.
