Change.org (http://www.change.org/ideas/browse) (pick Immigration in the browse by cause box on the right side of the screen) is now actively voting on various ideas.
There are 3 ideas there, but none for our cause.
I am no pro on these, but may be we could get an idea inserted for our cause and get enough votes on it.

I-140 approved. I haven't applied for I-140 yet.
I am looking to move to different position with similar job responsibilities within my company.
I spoke to company's internal legal dept - and as per them they would require -
a) My current job responsibilty as filed on GC app
b) New Job responsibilties from new manager
c) A note from new manager stating that new job responsibilities are similar to current one.
With this documentation, I could use my existing I-140 & don't have to file for H1-B, labor & I-140 again.
Do I need to be concerned for anything else?

A LCA has to be filed prior to your working at a new location. Make sure to file it ASAP. It's a simple procedure to follow.

Notice date Aug 22 /2007
Mine is NSC to CSC
Till today No FP
Finally today Mar 18 I got a mail saying
Application Type: I140 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER
Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
So now on what basis date, RD Aug 22 or transfer date Mar 18 they will touch my case .How long will it take ? Any body on same boat.....

Maybe USCIS would earn more income by telling the illegal immigrants to file EAD/I-485/Biometics every year etc.. Immigration attroneys would earn good money by replying to RFEs for 12 million immigrants. Getting this 12 million illegal immigrants legalized will surely improve the economy.

Can you at least produce the extension receipt at the embassy? Is your job title IT Consultant? If the answers are no and yes, personally I would not risk it. Of course this is nothing more than a personal opinion. My H-1B expires in April. I waited for the past 3 months and got my extension approved so I'm going back to China this month.

Hi, I have question about my case.
My family was applied I-485 by my mom's working at the company, and all my family had EAD which is working permit and received SSN with that EAD.
However, 2008 January our I-485 have got denied because of sponsor got closed.
That was the before our EAD card gets expired. So I couldn't renew the EAD card.
So My question is, is there any way to renew that EAD now?
if I still want to work, what does I have to do?

Since AC21 does not go in any official USCIS form, it is better to attach with G-28. My attorney did that and USCIS had acknowledged their receipt of the G-28 and supporting documents. The Ack was a letter to me and the attorney when my (new) attorney opened a service request inquiring the attorney of record after 4 weeks of filing G-28 and AC21 documents.

That depends on whether you were subject to a 2-year home residence requirement because of being in J-1 status. If you were subject to this requirement, and didn't fulfill it or get a waiver, you need to do one or the other before you get permanent residence approved.

hmmm... i've been trying to export as an eps to freehand or as ai to illustrator, neither of which have been working because i think the file's too big (1200 x 2400). when i export the resulting file appears to be just vertical lines. i'll try just copying and pasting, if it works i will be a happy camper.

The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) issued an August 20, 2009 press release, reporting a decline in offers of admission from U.S. graduate schools to prospective foreign students. This is the first decline in the rate of offers to foreign students since 2004.
While these significant reductions affected the overall decline in foreign student enrollment, the number of offers of admission to students from the People's Republic of China grew at a rate of 13 percent. The CGS press release indicates that this was the fourth year in a row of double-digit growth in the number of students from China offered admission to U.S. graduate schools.
With the up coming biggest education Expo in China (http://www.phdchina.org/english/index.shtml), the US is the country of Honour at this show. This is a clear sign that Chinese students are looking at the US as the main destination for studies and future opportunities.
There is a significant economic contribution made by foreign students in tuition and related expenditures, as well. Generally, a foreign student is required to pay tuition at the much higher out-of-state rate, even when attending a state school. The potential of Chinese students boosting the economy is significant and should not be ignored. We all have only 1 thing going on in our mind where every we go & what ever we do is about GC when it will arive. You see this offer & that offer. What you do ? nothing. Because you dont have EAD or GC
So now is the time we all can get together start our effort. No one knows about the result. Atleast some day some one will hear our voice.
This is my first visit to this web site. I have contributed $100 dollars.
Please give help to achive this target. wether it is $1,5,10,20,100,200 etc.

My employer will be filing for my greencard (labour certification) within the next 2-3 months. I have a valid H1 B visa expiring next year. I was wondering if it is legal to travel outside the country at this stage ?
